Crews respond to a large fire at the old Penley Mill building in West Paris
WEST PARIS, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Fire crews from as far as Bridgton are on the scene of a fire at the old Penley Mill building.

The building is believed to have been converted into a fireworks warehouse. The Paris Fire Chief says at the time of the fire there were no fireworks in the warehouse and that the building was being remodeled. Fireworks are being kept in a store right next to the buildings that were on fire.
The fire call came in at 1:30 Tuesday morning. Firefighters are battling snowy and icy conditions to keep the firer at bay. The fire was largely knocked down by noon, but crews were still spraying down hot spots. Firefighters expect to be at the scene most of the day.
No one is hurt and there is no word on a cause for the fire.
