Well if you thought yesterday was cold I'm sure you're not feeling much better about today. The combination of the temperatures in the single digits and the wind really hurts your face. I just walked a short distance from my car into a building this morning and my face was stinging once I got inside! We do have mostly sunny skies out there but don't let that fool you. Highs today will stay in the single digits for most of us. Winds are out of the northwest today at 15-20 mph and they are noticeable!
Tonight it'll again be very cold across the region. Temps will easily fall below 0 for us all. It'll stay mostly clear tonight which will only help the temperatures fall. Negative teens are likely in many places, negative single digits in other. The winds will be around 10 mph tonight out of the west.
Tomorrow will be very similar to today. temps will top out in the single digits and low teens. Winds will be from the northwest again at 10-15 mph gusting as high as 25 mph. The wind chill will again be well below 0 for everyone at most times. At least we'll see some sunshine tomorrow as well.
Friday stays chilly and sunny. Looks like the potential storm will be staying to our southeast for the most part. We will see clouds increase by Friday night and could see some snow showers around on Saturday, especially in southern locations.
By Sunday temps start to become a bit closer to normal. We'll make it into the upper teens and low to mid 20s for highs this weekend. 30s for some of us by Monday!
Have a great day and don't forget to protect your pets in this weather.
