PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Having the Pats in the AFC Championship is a big win for some local businesses.

Area bars and restaurants spent Sunday preparing for big takeout orders and sizeable crowds, all looking for a snack or a cold drink during the game. Buck's Naked Barbeque in Portland and Stockhouse Restaurant in Westbrook were both prepared for lots of takeout and in-house orders. Buck's smoked extra wings and ran specials make them even more appetizing to Pats fans. Stockhouse ordered two hundred extra pounds of wings to feed the crowds. Kitchen Manager Tim Folette says an AFC Championship Game typically draws bigger crowds than the Super Bowl, because so many people throw Super Bowl parties at home.

"People still want to get out as a crowd, come out and have a great time, come out with their friends, cheer, it's just fun to be part of a crowd and when this place gets hoppin it gets hoppin pretty good" Folette said.

Both restaurants said wings are by far their most popular game day food items.
