Today temperatures will make it into the upper 20s and low 30s. We will see clouds increasing throughout the day today and snow moving into the area this afternoon. The coast will pick up the majority of the snowfall (3-6") farther inland will get less (1-3"). The mountains could see around 3-6" as well. Snow will last until tomorrow morning. Winds today will be from the northeast today at 5-10 mph and from the north tonight at 10-15 mph. Snow will continue overnight. temperatures will be in the mid to upper teens.
Tomorrow Snow will wrap up in the morning for most of us, farther to the north and east it may linger into the early afternoon. Temperatures across the regions will warm up into the upper 20s and low 30s again. We may even see some peeks of sun by late afternoon. It will be windy, with winds out of the northwest at 15-20 mph.
Temperatures overnight into Monday will be chilly dropping into the negative numbers in the north. This will be the trend for much of the coming week. It will still be breezy as well so the wind chill will certainly make things feel pretty cold out there. Thankfully for people that will be outside New Year's Eve doesn't look as cold, with temperatures in the mid to upper teens and lower 20s.
Temps will barely reach 30 on Tuesday in some spots then we won't see 30 again for the rest of the work week.
It's looking like overnight lows Wednesday into Thursday will be below zero all across Maine and New Hampshire. Friday looks like we won't even reach 20! Well below "normal" high temperatures which are in the low 30s. Brrrr!
Have a great weekend!
