AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - Maine Labor Commissioner Jeanne Paquette says the state's unemployment dipped to 7.2 percent in November.

Paquette said Friday that November's rate was down two-tenths of a percentage point from October's 7.4 percent. The preliminary figure for November is seasonally adjusted.

The Labor Department says Maine continued to have a higher share of the population working or actively seeking work than the nation. November was the 62nd consecutive month Maine had a higher share of employed population than the nation.
