Today things will be pretty quiet out there. Temperatures will stay cold though, only reaching into the upper 20s in most spots. The wind chill will make it feel slightly colder. It will be mostly cloudy today as clouds continue to increase ahead of our first storm system of the week.
Snow should be starting in New Hampshire and in southwestern portions of the state by this afternoon or this evening. The snow will continue to slowly progress to the north and east and should reach the Bangor area by late morning tomorrow.
Roads will be slick tomorrow morning in the southern half of the Maine and in New Hampshire so make sure you take your time traveling. Get the boots and gloves out tonight so your hands area freezing tomorrow. Even if you don't have snow on your way to work you still should bring them with will because chances are you'll have some by the time you're out!
Overnight temperatures will drop into the upper teens and low to mid 20s.
Tomorrow the snow will continue to push north and east through the day. Temperatures will warm enough along the coast that we will see some changeover to rain in the late morning/early afternoon so enjoy the snow while it lasts.
By Monday night the area of changeover will continue to push inland.
Tuesday it will be raining in the coast and into inland areas as well. The mountains and foothills look like they'll stay snow for the entire event(s).
Have a great rest of the weekend.
