PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The mother of missing toddler Ayla Reynolds marked the one year anniversary of her daughter's disappearance by raising money for charity.
Trista Reynolds partnered with the organization LostNMissing for a silent auction and gift collection for children affected by Hurricane Sandy. Reynolds says the community has been incredibly generous and kind to her over the past year, and she wanted to give something back. The event also serves as a reminder to the public that the search for Ayla is far from over.
"We're not giving up," Reynolds said. "We're still going at it even though it's been one year. We're not forgetting about her and that's what today is meant to be. It's about Ayla and Ayla only. Just to celebrate who she was and who she is."
If you have any information about Ayla Reynolds, you're asked to call the state police at 624-7076.
