BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER)-- People in and around Bangor now have a park that is designed just for their dogs.
The Bangor dog park opened up on Saturday. Administrator Dawnette Carver said it took about three years to open up the park.
However, she said it is still not fully completed yet. She said there are two more phases that need to be completed. Those phases will expand the large dog area and put in a training area.
When you go to the dog park, Carver said there are rules that need to be followed.
"We ask that people always stay with their dog. Please look at our rules. We took a lot of time to make those rules and make it fit for the dog park. Please pick up after your dog and respect everyone that wants to use it," Carver said
The park is located off of Watchmaker Street.
