BUXTON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Crews from several towns battled a fire at an auto body shop in Buxton Thursday night.
The fire happened at Pine Tree Garage on Long Plains Road.
According Buxton Fire and Rescue Chief, Nathan Schools, the fire ignited in one of the garages that contained flamables used to service vehicles on the property.
Next to that garage is another garage, house, and mobile home that is virtually unaffected by the fire.
A man was inside the mobile home next to the garage but escaped safely.
"We had some struggles with some water supply issues and just keeping ahead of the fast moving fire," says Schools. "There was gasoline, propane, vehicles, things like that stored in the garage so it was a bit of a stubborn fire with little water."
According to Schools, it is unclear how many vehicles were damaged by the fire.
