(NEWS CENTER) - The Hostess brand name may not be cooked just yet.
A bankruptcy judge has asked the company and the union to go into mediation to try to resolve their differences. It is not immediately clear whether both sides will agree to the mediation.
More than 300 workers at the Hostess baker in Biddeford found themselves out of a job when the company decided to shut down Friday.
They had been picketing for nearly a week, protesting the company's decision to stop funding the employee pension fund and other cuts to salaries and benefits.
