PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Over the last few months, we've seen hundreds of political ads, thousands of campaign signs up around our neighborhoods, and now, thanks to social media, we've even seen the arguments hit Facebook.
Plenty of people NEWS CENTER with Monday say they're just ready for the elections to be over. Some say this is the nastiest they've seen some of the political arguments get between friends and family members. Not to mention, they're tired of the negativitiy in the ads; ads that often come from groups outside of Maine.
While Facebook has helped spread more information for campaigns, it has also hurt some personal relationships -- leading to arguments online over the issues. Some people NEWS CENTER spoke with say they've even blocked friends because of their political rants.
