a. Baby Snooks
Brice was born on Oct. 29, 1891.
Her signature role of Snooks was a mischievous little girl who was always getting into trouble. Brice first introduced Snooks as part of her vaudeville act as far back as 1912. She got her own radio show in 1944 and continued playing the role until her death in 1951.
Despite her huge popularity during her heyday, Brice might be best remembered today as the inspiration for Barbra Streisand's Oscar- winning role in "Funny Girl."
