PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Homelessness is a topic many people still feel uncomfortable talking about, which is why each year radio station WMPG joins a nationwide mission to dedicate time to raise awareness about the issue.

It's part of the annual Homelessness Marathon - now in its 15th year. Cities all over the country dedicate 8 hours to clear the air about some of the specific issues homeless people face in their area.

Sunday, a panel of service providers and some of the homeless they serve were on air at WMPG to talk about what they call the changing face of homelessness.

Maine was just one hour of an 8 hour program, packed with information about the topic.  For more information, click here.
