(NEWS CENTER) -- At a debate at Husson University in Bangor earlier this week, Republican candidate for U.S. Senate Charlie Summers illicited a few groans from the audience when he accused Independent Angus King of being the only candidate in the race who's running negative ads.  To which King responded that that's "like being called ugly by a toad."

What King was getting at is that there have been lots of negative ads running against him in the last few months, paid for by conservative groups, all to benefit Summers.

We talk with NEWS CENTER political analysts Phil Harriman and Ethan Strimling about it all.
