Say goodbye to the mild temperatures. Today was the last day for at least the next week that we will actually see highs in the 60s and 70s. Colder air works it's way into northern New England starting tonight and will stick around for much of the upcoming week. Skies will be partly sunny tomorrow with the chance of showers during the afternoon. A steady rain moves in Sunday night and clears out early Monday morning. Your Columbus day forecast looks gorgeous with sunny skies and cool temperatures.
Tonight - Evening clouds and showers. Winds will continue to be breezy during the overnight. Once the cold front moves offshore skies will start to become partly cloudy. Skies clear out first in the mountains allowing temperatures to drop into the 30s by tomorrow morning. Everyone else will have lows in the 40s.
Sunday - Bright start to the day. Clouds will move back in mid morning so overall I am calling the cloud cover partly sunny. Can't rule out the chance of scattered showers during the afternoon. Big change with the high temperatures compared to Saturday. Highs on Sunday top out at 50 degrees.
Sunday Night - Cloudy skies, rain likely, lows in the 30s. There could be a few wet snow flakes mixing in closer to the mountains. Key word..."few"...no accumulation expected.
Extended Forecast - Rain clears out early Monday morning and clouds give way to sunny skies. Highs will remain cool in the 50s. It looks like a perfect day to get out there for a hike to check out all the beautiful foliage. Another nice day on Tuesday with a mix of sun and clouds. More clouds Wednesday with some scattered showers. Next chance of showers will be on Friday. High temperatures still remaining below normal through the work week.
