CONNOR TOWNSHIP, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- An EMT crew in Aroostook County had to call for help themselves after running into a moose.

Benjamin Zetterman was driving the ambulance through Connor Township just after 7:30 p.m. on Monday.  He was transporting an elderly patient when a moose walked into the path of the vehicle near the intersection of Route 1 and Jemtland Road.

Nobody in the ambulance was hurt, but the front end of the vehicle was damaged.  A second ambulance was called in to take the patient the rest of the way.
