FRIENDSHIP, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The Maine Department of Corrections says a body found at a home in Friendship is believed to be Brian Floyd, a man who escaped from a prison in Warren Friday night.

Spokesperson Judy Plummer says State Police and Department of Corrections officials received information that Floyd was at a home in Friendship, and no other people were at the residence.  When authorities arrived on scene during the early morning hours Sunday, the body of a deceased man was found.

Plummer says preliminary reports indicate the body found was Brian Floyd, but additional testing is needed to determine the identification conclusively.

Authorities say it is not known at this time what Floyd's connection to the home in Friendship was.  The cause and manner of death will be determined by the medical examiner's office.

21-year-old Brian Floyd was from the Belfast area.  He escaped from the Bolduc Correctional Facility in Warren around 10 p.m. Friday.  He started his sentence back in June for theft by unauthorized taking.  He was due to be released in 2015.
