Happy Fall! Fall officially arrived at 10:49 this morning. It was a clouds start to the day, but western and southern parts of the state got into the sunshine by midday. Unfortunately eastern Maine did hang onto the clouds for much of the day and we had a few scattered showers clip Washington and Hancock county. Tonight a front will pass through northern New England and bring us more clouds with some scattered showers. There will still be some lingering showers early Sunday morning as that front pushes through, but skies are expected to clear from west to east through the day. High pressure builds in and provides us with sunny skies and quiet conditions through Wednesday. Next chance of showers will be Wednesday night.
Tonight - Cloudy skies, scattered showers, and lows in the 50s.
Sunday - Clouds and some lingering showers to start the day. Winds will then shift out of the west and that will help to clear the clouds out west to east. Highs will be in the 60s for most places. Some western locations will hit the low 70s.
Sunday Night - Clear skies, light winds, chilly overnight lows around 40 degrees.
Extended Forecast - Sunny and seasonable Monday and Tuesday. Clouds will start increasing Wednesday afternoon ahead of the next approaching front. Showers pass through Maine and New Hampshire Wednesday night. Sunshine returns on Thursday. We will be enjoying sunny skies right through next weekend.
