WARREN, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The Maine Department of Corrections says a 21-year-old prisoner has escaped from the Bolduc Correctional Facility in Warren.
Spokesperson Judy Plummer says Brian Floyd escaped from the facility Friday night around 10 p.m. He's described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, Caucasian, weighs 165 lbs., and has blond hair and blue eyes.
Plummer says Floyd is from the Belfast area and started his sentence back in June for theft by unauthorized taking. He was due to be released in 2015.
The Bolduc Correctional Facility in Warren focuses on working with prisoners who have three years or less on their sentence and reintegrating them into their community through work release and community restitution opportunities.
The Department of Corrections is currently working with state and local police to locate Floyd.
