SCARBOROUGH, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The Scarborough Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a barn there.
The call came in around 1pm Saturday for a barn fire on Beech Ridge Road. By the time crews arrived it was fully involved. With a little help from the wind, fire crews were able to keep the flames from spreading to a nearby home.
No one was inside that home, and neighbors were able to save the family dog. No one was injured. Crews from 6 other towns assisted on the call -- the barn is a total loss.
