PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The Maine Center for Creativity held its inaugural gala at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland.

Actress Glenn Close, and her husband, Idexx Founder, David Shaw were given the first-ever Maine Creative Industries Award. Close and Shaw are honored for their "extraordinary ability to blend creativity in art and business," says MCC's board President, Katherine Greenleaf.
