PORTSMOUTH, New Hampshire (NEWS CENTER) - Later this evening Republican Presidential Nominee Mitt Romney will appear in Nashua, New Hampshire to address his supporters.
Some of them turned out in Portsmouth this morning.
As hundreds of Obama supporters lined up to get in to see the President, More than a dozen Romney supporters quietly held a demonstration across the street. At times there was a little back and forth shouting between the two sides.
New national unemployment figures released this morning gave Romney supporters new ammunition against the incumbent. The 8-point-1 percent figure for August is only slightly better than the 8-point-3 percent figure that stood when Obama took office more than 3 and a half years ago.
"I voted for Barack Obama four years ago and I would never ever vote for him at this point. He doesn't have the knowledge, the experience, the understanding of how this country works. He has no truer understanding of economics", said Elizabeth Volpone, a Romney supporter from Hampton Falls.
Romney supporters say while the president has not done anything to bring the unemployment rate down he's done plenty to help our country's deficit shoot up to more than 16-trillion dollars.
Tonight Mitt Romney will spell out his vision for the country when he speaks to supporters at a stadium in Nashua.
