HALLOWELL, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Authorities are looking for an escaped prisoner from the Central Maine Pre-Release Center in Hallowell.
Around 6 p.m. on Monday, Justin Ross, 35, from Farmington, disappeared from his work release site in Leeds.
Ross had been serving a sentence for domestic violence assaults since June of last year. He was scheduled to be released on October 29th with probation lasting until 2014.
The Department of Corrections is working with state police to track down Ross.
The Central Maine Pre-Release Center is home to prisoners with 15 months or less on their sentence and is geared toward reintegrating prisoners back into the community through work release.
