Happy Labor Day! Kind of strange to say (Happy Labor Day) since for many folks, this day brings our summer season to an end. With that said, it does appear our Labor Day will be a fine one weather-wise after we get rid of this early fog that's hanging around. If you are out the door early this morning, allow for some extra time for your morning commute, as the fog is pretty thick in some spots.

After the fog leaves us, we're in for a fair amount of sunshine along with some pleasant temperatures today, as most of Northern New England will top-out in the low to mid 70s.

We do have some changes coming, as the high pressure providing us with sunshine today will fade in the next 24 hours, which will allow some of the leftover moisture from Hurricane Isaac to flow into the region. That means we will will see some increasing clouds on Tuesday, with showers likely arriving later in the day. The showers will become more steady Tuesday night, with low pressure adding to the clouds and shower activity on Wednesday.

After our dreary experience later Tuesday through much of Wednesday, look for some brighter conditions by Thursday.

Hope your summer was great, and that your autumn season is even better!
