WATERVILLE, Maine (NEWS CENTER)-Three month old Brooklyn Foss Greenway is dead and a ten year old from Fairfield is being charged with manslaughter. The family of the infant is speaking out and calling for justice to be served but they don't believe the ten-year-old is to blame.

Brooklyn's mother Nicole left the baby in the care of a friend and coworker the night the toddler lost her life. Brooklyn's family says things aren't adding up and they want to get to the bottom of what really happened.

Two of Brooklyn's cousins are planning a protest in Waterville. They are asking for answers and the blame for Brooklyn's death to be taken off a ten year old child.

The protest is scheduled for Sunday September 9th in Waterville at 3pm.

Deputy Attorney General Bill Stokes says right now there is no plan to charge anyone else for Brooklyn's death but the ten year old girl.

The ten year old is in DHHS custody right now. We reached out to them and they refused to comment.
