GLENBURN, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A Maine soldier has died while on deployment to Kuwait.
Staff Sgt. Jessica M. Wing, 42, from Glenburn, was assigned to Company C, 1st Battalion, 126th Aviation Regiment out of Bangor. She was a UH-60 Crew Chief.
The Dept. of Defense said she died Monday in Kuwait City under circumstances that were not combat related.
Gov. Paul LePage released a statement expressing his condolences. It said, "We are forever indebted to her for her service to her state and to her country."
Funeral services for Wing have not yet been made.
