SANFORD, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Police have made an arrest in their investigation into an armed robbery at a convenience store in Sanford.

The suspect is Michael Decelle, 28, from Kennebunk.  Police say he is the man who robbed the Lil General store at gunpoint on Saturday.

The clerk told investigators that Decelle pulled out a pistol as he cleaned out the register and stole cigarettes.

After releasing pictures from the security camera, police got several tips that led them to Decelle.  The first time they went to his home, he escaped, but they were waiting for him when he returned a few hours later and finally caught him.

Decelle is now being held at York County Jail with bail set at $100,000.
