The weather gods have been on our side for the month of August. We really did have some beautiful weather, and it looks like the nice weather will keep coming for the last week of August. Much of this upcoming week features sunny skies and warm temperatures. Next chance of showers and some thunderstorms will pass through Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Tonight - Mostly clear skies, light winds, and some patchy areas of fog. Lows will be in the mid to upper 50s.

Monday - Gorgeous sunny start to the day. A few more clouds roll in during the afternoon, and late in the day we could see some showers and thunderstorms break out in far western locations.

Monday Night - Cloudy skies with showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the 60s.

Extended Forecast - Not the greatest start to the day Tuesday. The cold front responsible for the showers and thunderstorms will continue to head towards the coast. Skies will be cloudy with still some showers through the morning. By the afternoon we should start to see some partial clearing in southwestern locations. High pressure then builds in again starting on Wednesday. It looks beautiful...just a little cooler. Temps warm up for the end of the work week. One of the computer models is hinting at the chance of some scattered showers in northern Maine Thursday afternoon. Then sunny skies Friday right through Sunday.
