WESTMORELAND, NH (NEWS CENTER) -- New Hampshire State Police say the elderly man whose car ran into a line of motorcyclists, killing two, has died of injuries suffered in the crash.
About 200 motorcycles were heading south on Route 12 in Westmoreland as part of a memorial ride Saturday. Witnesses say Robert Lockerby, 87, swerved into the southbound lane, hitting the bikes.
Two bikers were killed. Five others were injured. Lockerby was taken to the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Facility, where he died Monday.
The event was a Ride for the Fallen, in honor of Army Specialist Justin Rollins, who was killed in Iraq by a roadside bomb in March of 2007.
