AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - A man from the town of South China is headed to court to face charges that he threatened to shoot his wife and a judge.
Shawn Breton, 37, is scheduled to appear in court Friday to face two counts of terrorizing.
Police say Breton went to court Wednesday to seek a protection from abuse order from his wife.
After the request was denied by Judge Beth Dobson, Breton left the courthouse but was heard saying by county workers he "was going to come back and shoot Judge Dobson and then go shoot my wife."
He was arrested when he returned to court a short while later. He did not have a weapon.
Police say Breton told them he did not mean what he said, but was frustrated and angry.
