MENLO PARK, Cal. (NEWS CENTER) - Facebook released an upgraded to their iPhone and iPad mobile app today. Facebook 5.0 for iOS (is the official name) claims to be twice as fast as older versions. The company says, it launches faster, will allow users to scroll faster, and it will load images easier.
Those last two features had been a point of frustration for some users in past versions of the app. Many complained that it took too long to scroll through news feeds and to load photos.
Among the new features is a banner at the top of the app that tells you where there are new updates. One item not on the upgrade is the share option, something many user have been asking for.

Facebook does have aother apps as well, the Facebook Camera app, The Facebook Messages app, and the Facebook Pages + app (used by people who are admins on a "liked" page).
