WALDOBORO, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Police are working to figure out the cause of a deadly motorcycle crash in the early morning hours Tuesday in Waldoboro.

Chief Bill Labombarde issued a news release about the crash Tuesday morning.

Chief Labombarde says that shortly before 4:00 AM Tuesday, Gregory Zaccadelli was riding North on Jefferson Street when he left the roadway.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police do not believe that other vehicles were involved. Waldoboro Police Sergeant Jason Neien and an accident reconstructionist from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department closed Jefferson Street for about three hours while they investigated.

Police are not certain what caused Zaccadelli to leave the road.
