ARUNDEL, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Two people are recovering from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash noontime Monday.
A motorcycle crashed into a van at the intersection of Alfred Road and Hill Road.
James McGuire, of Lyman, was apparently pulling onto Alfred Road and failed to see an oncoming motorcycle.
David Garland, from Sanford, was driving the motorcycle and couldn't avoid the van. He hit the vehicle on the left front driver's fender.
Garland and his passenger, Elaine St. Amand, were seriously injured and taken to Southern Maine Medical Center.
McGuire was not injured.
Alfred Road was closed for about 2.5 hours while law enforcement officials investigated.
