EDINBURG, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The Maine Attorney General's office is investigating an officer involved shooting in Edinburg; which is just south of Howland in Penobscot county.
According to state police, Warren Dome was shot by trooper Chris Hashey around 6pm Tuesday, when Dome approached Hashey with a knife.
Dome had reportedly been making suicidal and homicidal threats.
Dome was flown by LifeFlight to Eastern Maine Medical center in Bangor. He is in serious but stable condition.
Trooper Hashey has been put on administrative leave while the investigation is taken over by the Maine attorney general's office.
