PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The Portland Water District says it expects to be at the scene of a water main break at the interesection of Forest Avenue and Riverside well into the night.

The break is currently blocking one of four lanes of traffic, and is expected to do so for the rest of the day. Traffic is expected to be slowed for the evening commute, and drivers are being asked to avoid the area if possible.
