PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - Maine Gov. Paul LePage says he won't attend the Republican National Convention unless the state delegation is seated.

Conservative commentator Ray Richardson recounted his conversation with the governor on his Facebook page on Friday. He said the governor gave him permission to make the conversation public.

A spokesman for LePage declined comment other than to say that the governor supports Mitt Romney and wants the delegation to be allowed to participate.

Ron Paul picked up 20 delegates after the Texan congressman's supporters took over the state GOP convention, but several GOP activists have filed a challenge. That makes it unclear what role, if any, Maine's Ron Paul delegates will play in Tampa.

Romney's nomination during the convention is a foregone conclusion, but Paul's supporters want a voice at the convention.
