PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Residents and city leaders in Portland are talking about how the city's first paid music festival on the Eastern Promenade went. The Gentlemen of the Road Tour brought grammy-nominated band Mumford & Sons -- and more than 15,000 people to the city on Saturday.

The clean up from that festival continued Monday. Crews are still working to break down the fencing that went around the perimeter of the park and the two huge stages on the waterfront.

City officials say they are pleased with how the show went. They had no major public safety or traffic issues. The city will also be reimbursed for all of the clean up and overtime costs, so the event didn't cost the city any money. From here, the City Council will have a larger discussion about how to handle events like this in the future.

But there is a mix of emotions among Munjoy residents about how the concert went. One resident spoke to NEWS CENTER off-camera and was very unhappy with the idea of using the park for paid events. But the majority of neighbors say they had a great time and would be open to more music festivals on the Prom in the future.

"Would I want one every weekend? No I don't think so," said Dan Haley, an Eastern Prom resident. "But it pretty much takes over the neighborhood for a couple of days, so one or two over the summer and it has to be a no cost kind of thing in my mind as a taxpayer and if we can gain something out of it even better."

Both the city and the neighborhood got something out of the concert. The city was paid a rental fee for the park and a portion of food and merchandise sales and the Friends of the Eastern Promenade received a portion of ticket sales -- money that's going to go right back to taking care of the park.
