PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - Police in Portland, Maine, are investigating the discovery of human remains over the weekend.
Lt. Scott Pelletier says it appears that skeletal remains were wrapped in a blanket. The remains were discovered Saturday by a man picking blueberries on a trail near Hutchins Drive.
A cadaver dog and anthropologist assisted.
Police say they have some clues as to the identity of the remains, believed to be those of a woman. An autopsy will be conducted Tuesday.
