BOOTHBAY, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Central and Mid-coast Maine got hit with a brief, but severe storm tonight.
It happened just before 8 p.m. Friday. Richmond had trees and power lines knocked down. Frank Powers sent us these two photos of the damage at his insurance agency. Powers said the storm lasted for about a half an hour and there was a good deal of lightning.
The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office says that the storm knocked out power in other areas, too. The towns of Westport and Boothbay were particularly hard hit.
