The muggies are back. Strong southerly winds pumped some very warm and humid air into our region today with dew points in the mid 60s and climbing. It is looking to be a very uncomfortable night tonight and you may not want to leave the windows open too wide because showers and thunderstorms are a distinct possibility after midnight. Tuesday is looking very warm and muggy and with a cold front pushing through New England during the day we will have to be on the lookout for more showers or thunderstorms. Some of these could become quite nasty with heavy downpours and gusty winds. Behind the cold front cooler and drier air is going to move in for Tuesday night and with a ridge of high pressure headed our way Wednesday is looking to be a fantastic day. Unfortunately the high won't be here for very long and as it moves away on Thursday look for increasing clouds and a chance for more showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon.
