STILLWATER, Maine (NEWS CENTER)-- Many families took a break from watching TV and their phones tonight and spent some family time out in the garden.
Tonight was the second annual Art in the Garden Celebration put on by the University of Maine Cooperative Extension.
People were able to walk through the different gardens at Rogers Farm and learn different gardening techniques. This was also a way for kids to find an interest in gardening which is why one mom wanted to bring her kids to the event.
"They love it when other adults are like yeah this is so awesome, this is so cool and they show a new way to do it some way that I don't know to show them, how to make it fun," Nicole Hustus said.
Hustus' daughter said she was excited to learn about the different plants and how they grow.
Everyone at the event was able to participate in different activities like felting, rug weaving and leaf whapping.
