SANFORD, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Sanford Police say a boy was struck while was crossing Lebanon Street near the intersection of Nason Street.
The victim was riding a skateboard in Sanford when he was struck by a truck that was traveling east. The boy sustained very serious injuries and was transported to Goodall Hospital by Sanford Fire and Rescue then subsequently air lifted to Maine Medical Center in Portland.
The motor vehicle accident is under investigation by the Sanford Police Department. No word yet on the victim's name or condition.
