PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Portland Police appeal to the public for help in trying to track down suspects in a deadly shooting.
The shooting left one man dead and two others injured. 24-year old Matthew Blanchard of South portland died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Joshua Hersom and John Howard, both of Portland were wounded with what are described as non life threatening injuries.
Matthew Blanchard was shot about 1-am yesterday on India Street near Congress. Investigators say he and the other two men he was with were shot after an alteraction.
Witnesses reported hearing shouting shortly before the shooting. Police are asking anyone who saw the group of men that night to come forward.
