BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) --- Summer's approach means that many Mainers will be looking to do some projects on their homes and on Friday several of them were at the Bangor Auditorium looking to get ideas.
The "Bangor Home Show" kicked off its 42nd year at Bass Park Friday afternoon. This year 172 vendors are taking part including home contractors, masons and pool suppliers.
Typically the show draws as many as 20,000 people to the auditorium each year. Organizers say this year they are hoping to pass that amount.
"The vendors have been waiting for this show for a very very long time," said Dean Appleman, who is the show's promoter, "The confidence in buying here is extremely high. We have such great product this year. It's one of our best years for product."
The show will be running Friday through Sunday at the auditorium. Tickets are $7 at the door or $5 if you bring a newspaper ad.
