STANDISH, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is investigating a bizarre home invasion in Standish.
A group of 3 or 4 men, posing as drug enforcement agents, broke down the door of a home on Route 113, tied up the people inside and stole prescription drugs.
Police say the men, who were wearing masks, broke in around 5:15 Friday morning. 4 adults and a 6-year old child were in the home.
The robbers tied the adults' hands with flexible plastic ties, and took prescription pain medication, some cigarettes, and a couple of purses. They were gone in 5 minutes.
Police say the robbers also cut power to the house and appeared to know exactly what they were looking for.
Police say the general public should not be concerned for their safety. They do not have a description of the robbers. They only know they left in a loud car.
But if you have information about this case, you are asked to call the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office at 774-1444.
