PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A hunter from Windham has pleaded not guilty to a manslaughter charge in connection with the death of another hunter.
William Briggs was hunting on November 5t in Sebago off of Hogfat Hill Road.
Investigators say he fired a single shot and struck Peter Kolofsky.
He called 911 as soon as he realized what happened. Kolofsky died at the scene.
The men were not hunting in the same parties and Kolofsky was wearing blaze orange clothing.
