TURNER, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A day after wardens launch a search for a missing snowmobiler, they say they've recovered his body from the Androscoggin River.

Wardens recovered the body of 46 year-old Joey Mann of Dixfield around 11:25am Sunday morning.

During the search, a volunteer discovered what appeared to be a snowmobiling helmet floating in the water.  The helmet was discovered just below the Center Bridge Road Bridge in Turner.

Wardens deployed an airboat, and recovered Mann's body.  Mann was still wearing his helmet.

The Maine Warden Service says Joey Mann of Dixfield left home at 11 a.m. Friday with plans to ride to Sabattus Pond in Wales, meet with his brother and spend the night.

Officials say Mann was last seen at about 6:30 p.m. Friday in Greene, where witnesses said he appeared confused while asking for directions.

Mann's body has been transported to the Medical Examiner's office in Augusta, where an autopsy is pending.

Wardens say their investigation in this matter will continue.
