OLD ORCHARD BEACH, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A fire in Old Orchard Beach forced power to be shut off to nearly fourteen thousand CMP customers.
The fire started around 2:15pm at a home on Seaview Avenue. One person was in the home at the time, but he managed to get out safely.
The fire also damaged another home next door. CMP had to turn the power off because the number of power lines in the area made it difficult for firefighters to get to the fire. People in Scarborough, Saco, Old Orchard Beach, South Portland, and Biddeford will all affected by the outage.
