BOSTON, MA (NEWS CENTER) -- The UMaine hockey team took the ice at Fenway Park on Friday afternoon for their only practice before Saturday night's game against the University of New Hampshire.

The Black Bears arrived in Boston on Thursday afternoon and headed to the ballpark after dinner to watch the Maine-UNH alumni game. The former Black Bear squads swept the Wildcats. Head Coach Tim Whitehead says he hopes being at the ballpark for the alumni game and Friday's practice helped players get rid of any jitters or nerves before Saturday.

While the team is excited for the opportunity to play at Fenway, they're also trying to stay focused on the game. The Black Bears gave up a home game against UNH to play in Boston. Maine is the highest-ranked team in Hockey East to play in the 2012 Frozen Fenway. The Black Bears are currently tied for 5th place, while the Wildcats are 8th.

The puck drops at 8:00pm on Saturday night.
