Matt Dunlap to run for U.S. Senate

Former Secretary of State, Matt Dunlap

OLD TOWN, Maine (NEWS CENTER)--Former Secretary of State Matt Dunlap announced that he is running for U.S. Senate.

At the United Steel Workers office in Old Town people were already volunteering to help Matt Dunlap run for U.S. Senate when he made his announcement.

Dunlap spent the last six years serving as Secretary of State.  Before that he was a State Representative for eight years.  He says he wants to promote business growth in Maine, support the middle and lower classes and reform government.

Dunlap says he respects Senator Snowe and he is grateful for her service but he believes he can bring a change to the state that people are ready for.
